Parent Affiliate Scholarship Raffle

The next Parent Affiliate Raffle will be held at the WHSA Spring Quarterly Meeting from April at The Madison Concourse Hotel. All raffle proceeds go to fund our Positive Opportunities for Parents (POP) Scholarships.

At the WHSA Winter Quarterly in January, several Parent Affiliate Representatives were elected or re-elected to the WHSA Board of Directors.

2009 POP Scholarships

During the WHSA Summer Quarterly meeting, Parent Affiliate members selected three 2009 "Positive Opportunities for Parents" Scholarship winners.  This year's recipients are:

• LORI CURTIN CAP Services Head Start Program

• APRIL KOVARS SWCAP Head Start & Early Head Start Programs

• ALAN McCORMICK SWCAP Head Start & Early Head Start Programs

Lori, April, and Alan were honored during the 23rd Annual WHSA Achieving Excellence Awards luncheon on October 21, 2009 as part of the WHSA Fall Quarterly meeting.
